Tegwedd ShadowDancer grew up in Minnesota, and came out to California with her first husband in 1972. She received her first Tarot deck as a Yule gift in 1969, and with the help of De Lawrence’s book Keys to the Tarot, taught herself to read her deck.

One client she had was an officer in the LAPD, who was working undercover in an anti-bunko operation and she taught him some of the tricks employed by unethical card readers in order to bilk their clients out of their money.

In 1974, she discovered Paganism, which has marked her life ever since.In 1976 she received her 1st degree initiation into Wicca, in 1992, her 3rd, in the Georgian Tradition. In 1982 her daughter Janvier was born, but in 1984, her 2nd marriage ended. By now she had collected 6 Tarot decks.

Over the next few years her collection grew. She did readings at Psychic fairs around the Bay Area. She also devised a minimalist easy method of Teaching others to read Tarot, which she first taught to her 7 year old daughter on their way to the Whole Life Fair at Gavilan college in 1989. It only works with decks which are patterned after the Rider-Waite-Coleman-Smith Tarot, in that they have scenes for the pip cards 2-10 of the Minor arcane, besides the symbols of the suits they are in. Her daughter took her instructions and ran with them, later knocking Stephen’s socks off with her skill and perspicacity with a reading she did for him at an after party.

After her Significant Other died suddenly, Tegwedd moved from Cupertino to Sacramento, where she writes, continues to do readings, and teaches classes.
